Notes on entering your film
25th Braunschweig International Film Festival, November 8-13 2011
Please note: For competition entries (The Heinrich, The Leo, KINEMA) please use the forms listed under the "Competitions" menu item. This entry form is valid for the non-competitive programme section only.
Submissions of films
are only accepted for short films of up to 15 minutes, features or documentaries of at least 70 minutes length.
Films which were made as cinema films after January, 1 2010 may be submitted. The film must not have been released commercially in cinema or television in Germany. Long features, documentaries and short films must be on 35 mm format. The organizer decides in the case of exceptions.
Entry form
Please use one entry form per film.
Short films can also be entered online via Reelport.
Subtitles
If the film is not originally in German then it must have German or English subtitles on the copy that is used for screening.
Additional documentation
- 30 word (minimum) synopsis/summary which may be used in the official catalogue, plus any printed production notes and other festival screenings (if any)
- Director's filmography
- Credits list
- Please send a digital portrait of the director and in minimum one digital still, which are suitable for printing (data with 300 dpi with a size of at least 8 x 10 cm. Data from or for the Internet are not suitable).
Acknowledgement
If you do not receive a response by October 15, 2011 we regret that your film has not been accepted. We are very sorry that we can not respond personally to every submission.
Return of tapes/DVDs
Preview material can only be returned if a prepaid envelope with return address is enclosed.
Fee
There is no entry fee.
Deadline for entries
Deadline for application is August 1st, 2011.
