Exhibition: "Stars without Glamour: Lette Valeska - a photographer from Braunschweig in Hollywood"

Until January 7, 2024, the Städtisches Museum Braunschweig will be showing a comprehensive exhibition on the photographer Lette Valeska (Brunswick 1885-1985 Los Angeles). She succeeded in presenting world-famous Hollywood stars as "natural" persons without grand poses. In the center of the show are Lette Valeska's photographs of Hollywood stars, which are owned by the artist's of the artist and are being shown for the first time in Germany. On the basis of personal documents from her estate, the artist's eventful life is also presented. A third part of the exhibition presents, for comparison, selected star photos from an important private collection in Cologne. contemporary Hollywood photographers, which underline the uniqueness of Lette Valeska's art.art.

Visitors to the Braunschweig International Film Festival will be able to view the exhibition for the duration of the festival. will be granted a reduced admission fee (2,50 €) upon presentation of a festival ticket.
