The director has used her prize-winning short documentary film PANIHIDA with the same leading actress to create a new script for her graduate thesis film at the German Film and Television Academy. In four episodes, which follow the seasons, we witness archaic village life and budding first love. In overwhelming pictures and with superb amateur actors, the film takes us into a remote village in Moldavia. The unselfconscious 15 year-old lead actress is a real find.
