Film Exchange with the Normandy

Long live Normandy! In the process of administrative reform in France, former Upper Normandy no longer exists, but instead there is a region which is double in size and has a world famous name. For 15 years the Braunschweig International Film Festival and the northern French Film Foundation, Pôle Image, have been organising the film cultural exchange between the partner regions of Lower Saxony and Normandy. A third partner, the school cinema project »KINEMA«, joined the exchange a few years ago. Pôle Image now presents the feature film PARISIENNE by the French-Lebanese director, Danielle Arbid, at the 30th Braunschweig International Film Festival In addition, for the tenth time the Franco- German youth award Kinema will be announced by a jury of five German and French students, aged 16-21. The film culture exchange between Lower Saxony and Normandy is supported by the State of Lower Saxony, the Franco-German Youth Foundation, the region of Normandy, the Film Foundation Pôle Image, Upper Normandy, the Academy of Rouen, Antenne Métropole – Metropolregion Hannover Braunschweig Göttingen Wolfsburg and the Friedrich Walz Foundation.
