One morning the honest railway worker, Tsanko, finds money on the tracks. When he reports the huge find to his employer, he unwittingly sets in motion the entire PR machine of the Ministry. In the re-staging of Tsanko`s heroic deed, Julia, the press spokeswoman, stops at nothing. In the bitter fight for fame and glory, the end justifies the means. SLAVA presents visually and orally the farcical social traps of modern society in Bulgaria. It is the second part of a trilogy by the director duo Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov: ” Behind every character there is a kind of prototype.” The basic ideas for the stories stem from the headlines in the daily newspapers.
