A gripping biopic with an impressive Karolina Gruszka in the leading role: ”What fascinated me most of all was the passion with which she went about everything- research, family, the fight for justice.” In 1903 the Polish woman, Marie Curie, was the first woman to win, together with her husband, Pierre, the Nobel prize for physics. Shortly afterwards, her husband died in an accident. In a male dominated world, she continued their research and was the first woman to receive a professorial chair at the Sorbonne in Paris. At the very moment when she was about to be awarded the second Nobel prize, the scientist was forced to discover that reason and passion do not go together.
