Tania, who is seriously ill after a nuclear disaster, is waiting for evacuation from the Japanese wasteland. More and more friends and neighbours are able to leave for the country, leaving behind Tania, fully aware of her imminent death, with her cyborg Leona, played by the android Geminoid F. The film updates the cultural-historical vanitas motif and it is precisely this interlacing of human and mechanical performance that allows in gentle images the beauty of art to come to light. The director insists on the explosive nature of this topic: ”This film is not science fiction. The catastrophe described in the film is something, which everyone can imagine.
