Brief, intensive, exciting. That is what based in Poznań, Poland, Short Waves Festival is like. Ninth edition will take place from 21st to 26th of March 2017. It’s motto, „beyond borders”, was created to emphasize the festival’s range as one of the most recognizable short film festivals in Europe, as well as to underline its thinking outside the box, both about subjects and film genres. POLISH WAVE is a special programme of polish shorts screened or awarded during the last edition of SWF. The selection includes a great mixture of styles, which perfectly describes the current trends in polish audiovisual culture, known and recognizable as the „polish wave”.
