Green was the recognition sign of the supporters of the presidential candidate, Mir Hossein Mussawi, who rose to become a symbolic figure for the ”Green Revolution” in Iran in 2009. However, the election was ”won” against all expectation by the ultra conservative populist Mahmud Ahmadineschad. The Where is my Vote? protest demonstrations were dispelled with brutal attacks.
