A group of village inhabitants from the marshes no longer want to stand and watch while their village bleeds more and more to death. Now even the school is to be closed down. The people decide to earn themselves money for the village and found a stock company. The business model is to combine ecological and social aims and is based on liquid manure, African catfish and: banana trees! Locals and newcomers, adults and children begin to dream and roll up their sleeves, looking well ahead and with a big heart. However, it is a long way until the first fish arrive ...Against the background of persistent rural exodus all over Europe, the film relates of a village movement from North Germany.
