The siblings Sophia and Karim have a close relationship and spend a lot of time together. Karim is her most important conversation partner and is always there for her when she doesn't know what to do in her chaotic life. She is in her mid-30s, her doctoral thesis in philosophy has been narrowly accepted and she has now found shelter with him. When Éloise, her gynaecologist, enters Karim's life, it quickly becomes apparent that Sophia has great difficulties with this new situation. She feels pressured by Éloise and does everything she can to disrupt their relationship. Gradually she becomes painfully aware that her life has to take a new direction, one that is more independent of her brother.
