A cooperative of indigenous coffee farmers in Chiapas (Southern Mexico) not only grows its own coffee but they also sell the roasted beans and put great emphasis on the highest possible quality while doing this. They try to keep a large part of the supply chain regional. This, on one hand, is well received by the potential customers – they can sell the high-grade coffee more expensively to connoisseurs – but on the other hand can lead to problems when a parasite destroys a large part of the plants and the chief customer drops out. A film that shows that fair trade and a fair treatment of producers has to be wanted by everybody concerned.
