Young Emilia is writing her first novel. While working in a hotel, she becomes friends with Beth, a girl of the same age, whose father Jonathan Fischer is the owner. He was once a very successful writer and wants to support Emilia in her work. The two meet secretly and an affair develops between the aspiring author and the failed family man. But Emilia doesn't want to jeopardise her friendship with Beth either. ALBATROSS tells of youthful freedom and past dreams, of friendship and vulnerability. One of the few British comedies by Sebastian Koch to be seen in Germany for the first time.
Director's Biography:ALBATROSS was MacCormick's feature film debut. Afterwards, the British director and screenwriter mainly shot television series for the BBC. Only a few of his works are known in Germany.
