Sandra, a successful German author, is suspected of having murdered her French husband, Samuel. Samuel died under mysterious circumstances. The question of guilt is now being clarified in court. In the battle for justice, the parties involved develop different perspectives on the case. Alleged facts become blurred. Director Justine Triet is enthusiastic about Sandra Hüller’s acting skills: “Sandra is not interested in seduction: she seduces neither the audience nor the jury – nobody, in fact. She is simply herself; she says what she thinks, she is not trying to please. This is very rare, and both the role of Sandra and the actress Sandra have this in common.”

In her films, she recounts the stories of realistic female characters caught between everyday life, work, motherhood and gala appearances. She has received numerous international nominations and awards for her screenplays and films.
