New York City, 1943: Arturo wants to marry Flora. Both come from Italy and to be able to marry they need the blessing of Flora`s father who lives in Sicily. However, the isle is in the middle of the second world war. To achieve his goal, Arturo joins the U.S. Army. On his search for the father, he witnesses the impact the war has on Sicily. Director Pierfrancesco “Pif” Diliberto, who also stars the main role, tells with a lot of humor and a pinch of kitsch the thrilling story about friendship, love, traditions and the big feelings. The whole is topped off by scenic footage of Sicily.
