Ariel’s first intimate encounter with a boy was a painful experience. What is wrong with her? The young and devout seamstress finds out that she was operated on multiple times when she was still a baby to reassign her intersexual, ambiguous genitals. Ariel’s mother forced her into a female role her whole life. And then there is Ana, for who she has feelings. Ariel is faced with a decision to either live as a socially accepted but oppressed person in Venezuelan society or to find forgiveness and freedom as an intersexual person. A sensible and intimate film about intersexuality and self-determination about one’s own life.

Director's Biography:While studying journalism Patricia Ortega noticed that she started to direct intuitively behind the camera. Thereupon she went to the International Film and TV School in Cuba and today works as producer, sreenwriter and directress.
