Why Belgium? Well, why not Belgium? Our European neighbour to the west seems small and unimportant. But appearances are deceitful. Known for chocolate, politics and fries, it is a country that is more than the sum of its tourist attractions or its headlines. It is the center of Europe, if not geographically, it is so politically. Although enriched with many facets, it fights for a sense of nationality and of togetherness. And still the Belgians are our neighbours that we hardly know. We want to change that with this program. We would like to give you a better understanding for Belgium: what moves the people there, what are they afraid of, and what do they dream of?
