In competition for best debut or secondary film the audience award “Der Heinrich” will again be given to an outstanding european production. Sponsored by Volkswagen Financial Service the trophy is endowed with 10.000€ and is split up between the directors and film distributors. Additionally, for the first time there will be a jury award in the european competition. Ten movies from ten different countries are entering the race - all of them having their German premiere. Included are the political thriller X and the turnaround drama ADAM AND EVELYN.Further, the focus lies on young protagonists and their attempt to find their own way. For example, there is Lukas in BROTHERS, who is on a road trip with his brothers and Leon who is living in one of London’s social focal points (OBEY). Also there is DJane Evelina in CRSYTAL SWAN, who is trying to escape a post-Soviet reality. So be excited for many thrilling cinematic moments!
