Spring 2020 in New Mexico. The pandemic also has the sleepy little town of Eddington in its grip. Sheriff Joe Cross (Joaquin Phoenix) and Mayor Ted Garcia (Pedro Pascal) are locked in a battle that threatens to tear the town apart. When a murder shatters the fragile order, the violence takes its course. EDDINGTON is the fourth collaboration between visionary director and screenwriter Ari Aster (BEAU IS AFRAID, MIDSOMMAR) and the successful studio A24. The result is a darkly comic western-style reckoning with present-day America and, at the same time, a portrait of a deeply divided society.

Director's Biography:Ari Aster (born 15 July 1986 in New York City) is a director, screenwriter and producer. He studied directing at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles and has already presented his short films at renowned festivals. His debut film was a huge success, which was followed by MIDSOMMAR.
