Late nineteenth century. A mysterious girl is accused of bringing evil to a small village in Ireland, where a series of strange disappearances arouse fear and hatred among the population. By investigating the case, the sceptical Dr. Corman will be taken to the London of the industrial whirlwind. Among the city’s mists, an obscure being lives isolated from the world in its decaying mansion, together with its maid... Fog, gas lighting, blood, silver bullets and opera music fill the pages of this magnificent comic. Composing a soundtrack for a graphic novel instead of for a conventional movie was an idea that Inma Galiot had in mind for a while. She chose Andrés G. Leiva’s “Evelyn” because of its fascinating dark atmosphere in black and white and its wax drawings, that could perfectly match a mysterious music. After the animated movies expert Anna Levinson adapted the book into the video and dubbing actors gave voice to the characters, Leiva’s comic turned into a movie.
