During an art exhibition the top swimmer Kuba meets Michal. Very delicately, the film relates of the fragile relationship, attentively watched over by Kuba`s girlfriend Sylwia. The director Wasilewski interweaves the stories of the three very carefully into a universal story about the longing for a self-determined life and sexual freedom. ”It is about love, about the lack of love and the search for something that could replace it.” (Tomasz Wasilewski) A tenderly told but still resonant drama about the homosexual self-discovery of a young man. Together with ”IN THE NAME OF ...” FLOATING SKYSCRAPERS is one of the first films from Poland that deal openly with homosexuality.
