When the crew of Spaceship C57D lands on Altair IV, they find Professor Morbius with his daughter, Altaira, who was born on the planet. All other Bellerophon crew members - the spaceship that crashed decades ago - appear to have died. But who then is stopping the members of C57D from getting a closer look at Altair IV?... An enjoyable, stubbornly eccentric variation on Science Fiction via The Tempest, the film borrows to its heart`s content from the wonder trove of world literature, just as Shakespeare did in the writing of his masterpiece . For the Bard it was Desiderius Erasmus; for Fred McLeod Wilcox it was Homer among many others.
