As a reaction to the discriminating Anti-LGBTQI* laws the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus goes on a tour through five states in the deep south. In his documentary director David Charles Rodrigues accompanies the 300 members in 2017. They perform in churches, community centres and concert halls and search for something in common in a time of division and polarisation. Supported by the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir they bring a message of music, love and acceptance to the communities which are confronted with intolerance. The director empathetically accompanies the men choir and shows us their life story in a touching way.

Director's Biography:Greek-American-Brasiian filmmaker and civil rights activist. He is former member pf the "Sundance New Frontier and Doc Lab". Gay Chorus Deep South (2019) is his debut as a filmmaker.
