In 2018 HOMEMATCH is all about change. A strong programme consisting of 16 short and feature films that feature protagonists who burn, break out, inspire and change the world and that not only in the Harz, but also in Syria, Latinamerica and Poland. WALL celebrates its world premiere next to the festival hits MY FAVORITE FABRIC(Cannes), DIE SEELE DER GEIGE (DOK Munich) and WHATEVER HAPPENS NEXT (Berlinale). Also Jonas Jarecki and Michael Ewen present their latest works and the film classes of the HBK and Ostfalia, the Selbstfilmfestival as well as the current film education projects BIFFI TAPES and FILMKLAPPE share their latest outcomes. HOMEMATCH is supported by Wolfgang Haberkamm who sponsors the film award DIE GOLDENEN VIER LINDEN for the best director of a regional film. In 2018 the nominees are THE CABIN (shot in Harz), AM FENSTER (directed by Braunschweig based artist Michael Ewen), MY FAVORITE FABRIC (original score by Peer Kleinschmidt born in Braunschweig), WALL (produced by Martin Kosok born in Braunschweig), DIE SEELE DER GEIGE (directed by University Hildesheim graduate Benedikt Schulte) and WHATEVER HAPPENS NEXT (produced by Stefan Gieren born in Salzwedel).
