In 1420 Jeanne d`Arc was still sheep-hearding eightyear- old Jeanette - but already struck by God and France. Inspired by Charles Pégy`s works ”Jeanne d`Arc” (1897) and ”Le mystère de la charité de Jeanne d`Arc” (1910) Jeanette ardently sings praiseful songs in a rock-pop gown, her uncle answers like a Rapper from the Banlieu. As less a musical as it is a history drama, JEANNETTE is a unique confrontation with a religiousnational founding mythos.
