Winter 1968: six months before her death, showbiz legend Judy Garland (Renée Zellweger with an Oscar-winning performance) comes to London for a five-week sold-out guest performance. It has been 30 years since she achieved world fame with THE WIZARD OF OZ. Judy's voice may have weakened a little, but she still has her gift for dramatic staging. And her fine sense of humour and warm heartedness make her stand out like no other, in encounters with friends and fans as well as in conflicts with the management. With many famous songs, JUDY is a declaration of love to a unique woman, who still makes us dream of a world beyond the rainbow.

Director's Biography:Born 1972 in London, Goold works as theatre chief, director and scriptwriter. 2017 he received a CBE for his service to drama. JUDY, the adaptation of Peter Quilters theatre play End of the Rainbow, is his second motion picture.
