Little Wing tells of the 12-year-old Varpu (Linnea Skog) who is approaching adulthood extremely fast. She lives with her mother, who apparently does not want to grow up and seeks advice and support from her daughter in all sorts of situations. One night Varpu sets off unexpectedly in a stolen car to try and find her natural father. Unfortunately she only knows his name. When she eventually finds him in a roundabout way, he is really nothing like the person that she had proclaimed to her girlfriends in the riding stable. Selma Vilhulen`s feature film debut is a humorous genuin story about courage and optimism in the search for one`s own identity.
