The last part of Fassbinder's Economic Miracle Trilogy with Adorf in the role of the influential building speculator Schuckert, which director Dietl later turned into the adhesive manufacturer Haffenloher. A small town in Germany in 1957 – boom, economic miracle. In the club "Villa Fink" Lola, the queen of the night, delights the men. The unscrupulous Schuckert, who controls almost all building activities, is her favourite. When the city installs a new, incorruptible head of the construction department, Lola falls in love with him. Schuckert immediately realizes that with Lola's help he can still get what he wants...

Director's Biography:Lived 1945 - 1982, founded the antiteater in Munich in 1968, from which his first films sprang. Enfant terrible of the German auteur film, of which he is the most important representative.
