Once again this year, ten outstanding European debut and second films will be competing for our two main prizes: The HEINRICH Audience Award and the Volkswagen Financial Services Film Award Jury Prize. The two prizes, each endowed with 10,000 euros, are sponsored by Volkswagen Financial Services. It is about life in all its facets, with its ups and downs: about such diverse people as the Sami artist Lena, the motocross riders Willy and Jojo, drag queen Layla, the young mothers Ernesta and Juste as well as Ewa with her robot Arthur.

The public award ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 7:30 pm in the main auditorium of the Staatstheater Braunschweig. Both winning films will be shown again on Sunday in the ASTOR Filmtheater.
