In the movie series „Que*rschnitt – new LGBTIQ*- Movies”, which is beingcontinued after last year´s success, six for the Queer Movie Award of Lower Saxony nominated movies are shown. This award by the Queer Network of Lower Saxony, whose central goal is the improved visibility of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, inter, and queer* (LGBTIQ*) moviemaking, is now being presented for the first time with the other awards in the framework of the Filmfest. The movie series Que*rschnitt stands for diversity and acceptance of alternate lifestyles. Gender identities and sexual desire confront traditions and and customs, sometimes comical, often also tragical. But actually, it’s always about love. Que*rschnitt is a cooperation between the BIFF and the Association for Sexual Emancipation (Verein für sexuelle Emanzipation e.V.,) and is being funded by the Lower Saxonian Ministry for Social Matters, Health and Equality in the framework of the campaign “For sexual and Gender- Diversity* in Lower Saxony”.
