The imaginative remake of a classic children's book from the 60s preserves the basic constellation of the characters, but cautiously carries the story into the present – with computers, mobile phones and modern technology. Nobody makes inventions like the 11- ear-old Tobbi... But one day a small robot lands in front of him looking for his parents. Together Robbi and Tobbi create a vehicle that can fly, swim and drive at the same time: a Fliewatüüt! But in the meantime unscrupulous super agents are on Robbi's heels. Zerlett was allowed to use the main melody from the 1972 WDR TV series. He embeds it in 70s jazz rock, but also in drones, electronic sounds as well as dense layers and melodies from the orchestra, recorded with the Babelberg Film Orchestra.

Director's Biography:Born in Kassel in 1968, worked first as a production manager and assistant director before he studied at the dffb to become a "Producer". After first working as a director for TV series, he then focused mainly on children's and young people’s films.
