Lore, who is trying to come to terms with the death of her mother, returns to her hometown of Erkelenz, where she learns about dying, death and grief. Unsettled, she sits at the undertaker’s. She is also the one who has to clear out her mother’s flat and who, with much tenderness, prepares an obituary. A film about grief following the death of a loved one, without false pathos. Magdalena Laubisch plays this character without sentimentality, with quiet strength, great precision and impressive transparency. The reduction to the essentials creates a depth that is touching – raw, genuine and human. “To make you weep and laugh”, as Jacqueline Jansen herself says. 

Director's Biography:Jacqueline Jansen was born in Erkelenz in 1994. She not only directed her feature-film debut but also produced it. The autofictional film was made without the support of film funding or a broadcasting company.
