In the summer of 1976, a family`s extensive weekend property at the edge of the city becomes the setting for family relationships. While the adults can`t agree on the sale of the large garden together with the summer houses that are showing their age, the children, either alone or together, explore the spacious garden and the mysterious property next door. The summer idyll, shimmering in the heat, becomes the backdrop for joys and sorrows, big and small. Then the unsettling news about a missing girl invades the idyll. In her debut film, Sonja Maria Kröner draws with atmospheric density the portrait of a family and transports us into the days of childhood.
