On their trip to their Italian home, the married couple Ernesto and Elena lose their son through an accident. Thrown off course by this tragic event, they split up. Three years later the successful photographer meets the young Ian who stems from a shattered family background. After years of silence, Ernesto makes contact with his ex-wife in order to organise a big exhibition in her gallery. In doing so, they get to learn Ian better and would like to help him. However, the young man is in great trouble. Film debut of the director who likewise works as a photographer and thus tells a very personal story.
