The Last Family relates from the life of the surrealistic painter Zdzisław Beksiński, whom achieved cult status through his frightening post-apocalyptic works. His son, Tomasz, cult radio DJ and responsible as translator for the Polish versions of the Monty Python films, is neurotic and suicidal. The only person that keeps her feet firmly on the ground is Beksiński`s wife Zofia. She looks after not only her husband and son but also her own mother and keeps the family together. The family saga unfolds over a period of 25 years, capturing perfectly the style of those years. After 5 deaths as well as a few musical trends, then you don`t know whether you should laugh or cry.
