Egor is as stoic and independent as the landscape he lives in. Being a gameskeeper in Siberia he is valued by his village. Everyone knows him and he is greatly respected. Together with his wife and his little son he awaits the birth of his daughter. But things turn out differently: Egor gets diagnosed with cancer, he will never meet his second child He cannot keep his illness from his family for long. His wife and village try to help him. But all is vanity. Until he finds out about the Siberian tale of drake Zhamaba: To escape death the drake dresses up as duck so death would not recognise him. Egors last chance of survival.

Director's Biography:The directing duo, Natasha Merkulova and Aleksej Chupov, works on sreen plays and directs together. Natasha studied scriptwriting and directing and Aleksej film history. Together they realised four films since 2013. Privately, the two are a couple.
