As the first band the Stone Roses from Manchester bring together the energy of the post punks with the musical atmosphere of the Liverpool of the 60s. In 1989 they scooped awards at the NME with their debut album. Then followed conflict, a second album and splitting up. The Stone Roses` music has influenced many bands which became famous under the label Britpop in the 90s. 15 years later the Stone Roses wanted to give it a try again. Director Shane Meadows accompanies the reunion at the press conference, in the intimate rehearsal room and on the giant stage. The British Guardian enthuses: ”Warm and energetic, Shane Meadows`s love letter to the Stone Roses may be his best film so far.”
