Lukas, mid-thirties, translator for the OSZE-mission on the border to the Crimea, is stranded near a remote village in the South Ukraine steppe after a series of strange coincidences. He finds refuge with Vova, a weird local who confronts him with the anarchic universe of this place. Fascinated by his host, his daughter Maruschka and the extremely unusual living circumstances, the odyssee that Lucas has so far experienced turns out to be the journey of his life. This bizarre tragicomedy by the young Ukrainian director wows us with its amazing images and its connections to the near and far past - it is his first feature film.
