Warsaw, August 1944. Stefan, Alicia and Koma, young and idealistic, join the Polish home army. With Allies in Normandy and the Red Army near to Warsaw, the Polish home army is certain of help and rises up against the German occupations troops in order to stop the continuous terrorization of the Polish civil population. From the perspective of the young Poles, the uprising seems at first like a great adventure, they believe in their future in freedom but it is to become the most tragic event in German-Polish history. By means of stylistic devices like slow motion, the ego-shooter perspective and anachronisms, Jan Komas makes the events seem disconcertingly real.
