In the steppes of Afghanistan people invent stories to explain the world. Gossip and quarrelling determine their lives. Sediqa and Qodrat are outsiders. Sediqa doesn`t see well and Qodrat`s mother wants to leave her children and go off with a man. The two children become friends, as Sediqa is secretly tying a string for a catapult. Shahrbanoo Sadat is 26, lives and works in Afghanistan and with her debut film WOLF AND SHEEP she tells the story of her own childhood. As a child, Sadat lived as an outsider in a remote village in Afghanistan for seven years: ”That was when I learned to watch what was happening around me.”
