Anna is released from a Polish prison after 15 years. Free at last, she uncompromisingly pursues only one goal: to find a woman named Dorota with whom she seems to have an old score to settle. Her search takes her to a small remote island off Iceland, where this woman now lives with her family in the midst of a Polish community. But what exactly does Anna want from her there, what happened? A gripping thriller in Nordic Noir style. Thrilling from the first minute and with a fantastic cast, especially the great leading actress Olga Boladz, the film also captivates with its wonderfully filmed Icelandic landscape. 

Director's Biography:Born in Reykjavik in 1972. Studied directing in Lodz, Poland. With his film UNDERCURRENT he was in competition at our festival and a guest in Braunschweig in 2011. In April 2021, after shooting WOLKA, he passed away much too early after a short illness.
