Via Car
Brunswick is located at the A2 between Hanover and Magdeburg. The Westtangente A391 , the connector between A39 and A2, Brunswick city center can be reached easily within a few minutes. The A39 runs via Braunschweig from Wolfsburg to Salzgitter to connect to A7.
Via Train
Braunschweig is connected to the fast IC (InterCity)/ICE (InterCityExpress) and EC (EuroCity) railway networks of Deutsche Bahn, the German railway company. It only takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach Berlin and only 2 hours to reach Hamburg. Hanover is only one hour away.
The main station is located on the edge of the city center. The pedestrian zone can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. Trams, buses, and taxis depart from the station forecourt and take you to the city center in just a few minutes.

Braunschweig-Wolfsburg Airport BWE is served only by charter flights.
The nearest commercial airport is Hannover HAJ, from which it takes 1 to 1 hour 30 minutes by train to reach Braunschweig, and about 1 hour by car. Berlin BER is 2 hours 30 away by train and car and Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel HAM just under 3 hours, 2 hours 30 by car.
From Frankfurt am Main FRA it takes about 3 hours by train to Braunschweig, by car about 4 hours.
