One telephone box, two protagonists: Former friends Max and Uli meet again for the first time in a long while and decide, on the spur of the moment, to round off the evening by hotboxing in a remote telephone box. When the police appear, the pair panic and barricade themselves in. An intimate film and coming-of-age drama set in the most confined of spaces in which, over the course of the night, old wounds and disappointments are revealed that have been pent up for a long time. “A film about friendship, life paths, opportunities and decisions. Above all, however, the film is a journey through the night, a cautious groping towards adulthood, a leap into the deep end,” says Leon Kluth, who hails from Peine, describing his feature-film debut.

Director's Biography:Leon Kluth, born 1992 in Peine, is a director and screenwriter. He studied media and communication design at the HBK Braunschweig. During his studies, he founded his production company Upper Cuts. BABA KUSH is his feature-film debut.
