“Docu-thriller” about three researchers from the USA, China and Singapore and their many years of field research into the origins of the SARS epidemic. While the three warn of a new outbreak, they are exposed to growing media accusations and threats. The film combines the question regarding the origins of COVID-19 with a reflection on the position and role of science in relation to political power.

“Blame is a visually stunning film journey that explores the role of science in increasingly dark times. Objectively and calmly, the film reveals how the world has come apart at the seams as a result of the deliberate stoking and cultivation of fears and fact-free myths,” says director Christian Frei.

Director's Biography:Director's Biography:Swiss filmmaker Christian Frei is one of the most internationally recognised documentary filmmakers. His documentary WAR PHOTOGRAPHER (2001) was nominated for an Oscar. He won the World Cinema Directing Award at the Sundance Festival.
