11 year-old Blanka lives on the streets of Manila and struggles through life through petty theft and trickery. But her biggest dream is to have a proper home. After seeing on TV that you can simply adopt children, she wants to do the same, only the other way round. She wants to buy herself a mother. One day she meets Peter, a blind street musician. The two begin to play music together and Blanka soon discovers that she has talents other than cheating. The film tells an optimistic story of friendship and loyalty, which keeps you on track and is accompanied by the longing, which we all have, for a home of our own.
