Andreas is an author, podcaster, presenter, music manager, DJ – and now a bereavement counsellor. Together with his team, he represents a modern, personalised funeral culture. Can this be convincing? It certainly can! Every stage of the process of saying goodbye is accompanied by a great deal of empathy – and yes, even humour. Individual needs are taken into account, thereby finding space, form and new – sometimes unusual – locations. As a result of the openness of the affected individuals who are being filmed, we are able to participate in their grief as an important part of the emotional coping process. Instead of suppressing death as a taboo, the film demonstrates how human and dignified it can be. The bereaved are thereby afforded one important thing: all the time they need.

Director's Biography:Michael Schwarz (born 1979 in Nuremberg) is a director and documentary filmmaker. After graduating in film and theatre studies in Mainz, he founded, together with cameraman and producer Alexander Griesser, the production company nachtschwärmerfilm.
