Festival in der Region und im Schloss

The Braunschweig Palace is the cultural centre of the city – the offices of the city councillor for culture and of the cultural administration, the city library, the city archives, the Palace Museum and the Red Hall, which is also used as a cinema, are all located here. Geographically, the Palace is also in the middle of everything: The State Theatre, the Anton Ulrich Museum, the Art Centre, the C1 and Universum cinemas – to name but a few: Braunschweig’s cultural institutions form a circle around the Palace. Therefore it seemed logical to check the suitability of the indoor courtyard, which today forms the connection to the Palace shopping arcades (Schloss Arkaden), as an ”Open-In” cinema and thus serve as an appetiser for the 30th birthday of BIFF – free of charge and indoors – for those who have not yet experienced the Film Festival. A big thank you goes to the sponsors, who have madethe cinema experience possible in the Palace or in the region: Volkswagen Financial Services, the Borek Foundation and the local Allianz Insurance Company; in addition, thank you to the Management of the Schloss Arkaden and the participating three cinemas for their special commitment, which in no way can be taken for granted.
