Green Horizons

Six impressive documentaries are competing for the Green Horizons Award this year and form a multifaceted programme in the field of tension between disillusionment, insight, impressive images and above all hope. One focus is on the topic of climate change and corresponding approaches to slowing down, adapting and transforming (BANGLADESH: SUNKEN COUNTRY, DUTY OF CARE, PLEISTOCENE PARK), but mass tourism and greenwashing will also be examined, accompanied by a discussion panel on the topic. The programme will be complemented by the feature film BLUEBACK, in which the young Australian Abby fights for the preservation of the local marine fauna.

The Green Horizons Award, worth €2,500, is sponsored by AGIMUS, ALBA Braunschweig, HOFFMANN Maschinen- und Apparatebau and oeding print.
