Six friends want to celebrate a birthday in style. Siblings Magnus and Marlene make their family’s feudal estate available for the occasion. The cheerful party mood is abruptly shattered by the violent intrusion of a number of masked people. Uncertainty and fear arise within the group. Are they burglars or perhaps even terrorists? Does someone in the group have something to do with it? The telephone line is dead, the mobile phones are useless. The friends are gripped by pure despair. Charif Ounis from Braunschweig delivers a gripping feature-film directorial debut with his home-invasion thriller that also prompts the audience to reflect: How well do I know my friends? And who can I really trust?

Director's Biography:Charif Ounis, born 1991 in Braunschweig, works as an actor and director. HEADS UP is his first feature film. He completed his actor training at the IAF in Cologne in 2019 and has been working as a lecturer at the academy since 2020.
