During a dream holiday in the Azores, a daughter has to share a honeymoon suite with her mother. Authentic conflicts begin to unfold, underscored by the grief surrounding the loss of their father and husband. In this romantic, picturesque setting, serious issues are addressed with the hope of reconciling the protagonists and overcoming the hurdles that arise from social and cultural roles. As an auteur filmmaker, Lilian T. Mehrel – in her feature-film debut – combines her memoir influences with the cultural backgrounds of the Persian-Iranian characters.

Director's Biography:Lilian T. Mehrel is an award-winning writer director (Tribeca AT&T Untold Stories, TorinoFilmLab, SFFILM, Film Independent, Marcie Bloom) with her MFA from NYU Tisch Grad Film. With a visionary sense humor and feeling, Mehrel takes the audience on vivid journeys.
